The same lake, a quieter shore — and the same moisture working against every coat.
Lakeville sits on the western side of Lake Wallenpaupack, in Salem Township, away from the busier Hawley end of the water. It's a mix of full-time homes and lake getaways tucked into coves and back off the shoreline roads, and while the pace here is quieter, the climate is every bit as demanding as the rest of the lake. Constant humidity, sun bouncing off the open water, and driving wind all conspire to break down exterior finishes and gray out decks faster than they would inland.
We spec our work for that exposure. The elevations facing the water and the afternoon sun get the most durable, UV- and mildew-resistant products, and we pay close attention to sealing horizontal trim and railing caps where standing water likes to sit. On the docks, decks, and screened porches that come with west-shore living, we lean on penetrating stains built to survive constant damp and steady foot traffic instead of film finishes that peel at the waterline.
Plenty of Lakeville owners are weekenders or seasonal, so we're comfortable running a project start to finish while you're away — arranging access, keeping the site secure, sending photo updates, and saving the loud interior work for the off-season. When you come back for the summer, the house is ready.
A typical Lakeville project pulls from exterior painting, deck staining, and power washing outside, with interior painting and cabinet refinishing handled over the winter. It's the same lake-tested approach we bring to the villages around Hawley and Lake Wallenpaupack on the far shore.
